Château Grandefont

Château Grandefont

Acquired in 1995, Château Grandefont, with a total of 45 hectares of vines, is one of GRM's flagship properties.
Located on the left bank of the Dordogne, the terroir is made up entirely of permeable gravelly soil. Originally planted with fruit trees, the property made a gradual transition to vines in the 1960s.
The fully insulated winery has vats with a capacity of 5,000 hectolitres. This enables a rigorous selection of the best plots when the grapes are harvested.
The closeness the Dordogne River creates a markedly temperate climate, enabling the production of wines with a very uniform phenolic maturity, that are rich in colour, well-structured, flavourful and with excellent grip on the palate.
The finesse of the wines from this Château is regularly recognized with various awards.
