Château Les Roques

The Duras region lies in eastern Aquitaine, in the department of the Lot-et-Garonne. An excellent wine-producing terroir, the Côtes de Duras Appellation covers an area of 1800 hectares. It includes the vineyards of 15 communes, with the southern boundary being formed by the Dropt Valley.
Château les Roques perches on a fine terroir, located at one of the highest points in the Lot-et-Garonne. It covers an 11 hectare clay-limestone plateau, with ideal exposure for predominantly Merlot vines.
The modern wine-making facilities enable temperatures to be controlled and the wines are matured in a small cellar with a capacity for 80 barrels for 12 months before bottling.
Growing techniques that respect the natural environment are employed with a view to obtaining high quality vines. Château Les Roques has sustainable agriculture (Agriculture Raisonnée).
